- Jan expenses: ~$700 (made some office improvements for filming my courses)
- New Signed Contracts: $0
- Affiliate revenue: $171
- Pipeline Added this week: $16,000
- New leads added: 3
- Jan Revenue: $14,700

I'm setting up 3-6 month contracts. Example: $10,000 / month for 3 months. I'm booked at $20,500 for Feb & March right now. I'll likely open up spots to take on more customers in March & April.
Biggest Learnings
What's new
Podcast - I'm considering turning these learnings on a weekly basis into a short form 15 minute podcast. Audience would be all of you with small bit sized learnings explained in details. Essentially, I'd take some of these learnings below and triple click into it. Hoping to better enable those of you that are building consulting business as a side hustle for now. PLEASE give me feedback on weather this is valuable / interesting or not!
2nd Podcast - I'm also considering doing a 15 minute short form podcast of founders on the $0-$1M stage. I've had a hard time finding something like this out there and think it could be a way to get in front of my audience more. Besides, the more resources I can point my customers to in the long run, the better.
I made some money with affiliates! $171.30 to be exact!
Pricing & Packaging
I’ve been trying to figure out how to price down my offering to fit customers that are not ready to spend $8,500 - $10k / month right now
I’ve chunked down my offering that allows me to charge $1,000 / hour for up to 4 hours a month. If a customer doesn’t need the heavy lifting done as much by myself, this tends to fit well
Example: A founder has 1-2 reps. They need help with GTM but don't have ideas on structure & how to. They need someone that's seen it before and they can learn on for feedback on their execution. Diversified Income
Partnerships
I formed a partnership with an executive search firm back in mid-December. I've know and worked with them for >7 years. They are a boutique executive search firm that specializes in GTM placements in Pre-Seed to Series B companies. I get to meet so many founders at different stages, recruiting is always a critical component to their growth. I can only help so much so I figured it'd be helpful to have a go-to firm. I passed them a few leads in December and they signed with 1 of them this week. Payouts on these referrals will range from $3,000 to $8,000 for me depending on the search.
I spent a lot of time this week on my course. Damn, it's hard. Doing it solo is hard. I've set a date for myself to go live regardless of where I'm at with it by Feb. 15th. This will push me to get it live.I've got the purchase page live, it's a bit janky but I decided I just needed to get it live and push forward. Done is better than perfect. A few key pieces I'm thinking through:
Structure - how to efficiently build engaging course outlines in a way that the learnings is actually implemented
Content delivery format - what's video vs. screenshare vs. podcast
Marketing - building all the email funnels (pre-sale and post sale)
Course launch - not sure what to do here but everything I read makes the launch a big deal? I'm supposed to be hosting an in person event for a sales meetup in Feb and figured I'd use that as a catalyst for the course launch. I'm also considering doing a live launch but I have no idea what that entails either. Lol flying a bit blind.
Affiliates
I got my first check from affiliates! $171.30. It came from a partner that I use for direct mail campaigns
Daily Inputs
I failed this week. I did a poor job managing my inputs each day, committing to get back on track this week. It's hard to see any direct results of this yet but I need to give it at least 30 days at a time
By executing these in a really calculated way, I hope to come up with some sort of recipe around: X post impressions →Y inbound leads. Or X referrals asked → Y new first meeting set. You can see an example of my spreadsheet below. If you want a copy of it, email me back and I'll share it. See it here.
Thank you all for being here. I've been blown away at the response of people wanting to follow me on this journey, I'm so grateful.
I wrote a post in detail of my journey and why I decided to build in public. You can read it here.
I'd love to hear from you. Many of you reach out hoping to some day do the same, I want to support you. Email me what's helpful to see, learn, etc.
That's all for now!
Three huge asks:
If you're not following me on Linkedin, please do it here.
If you know any early stage founders hoping to build a sales team, shoot me an email ([email protected]). If they sign up, I'll send you a nice referral fee and give them $1,000 off.
I want to hear from you. What do you want to see here? I'm hoping to build this 100% publicly so nothing is off limits. What's helpful? Please email me and let me know what you'd like to hear about and what you're hoping to learn!
Thanks for all the love and support!
